GNBCC Attends Meeting with Several Health & Environmental Organizations in New York City
Two dozen health and environmental organization representatives, including GNBCC, convened last week in New York City to prioritize which legislation to support in 2020 that addresses toxic exposures in consumer products and in our environment. Several organizations such as HBCAC were on conference call during the meeting. The meeting which was organized by the JustGreenPartnership and Clean & Healthy New York also addressed that with peak holiday shopping approaching, time is of the essence for Governor Cuomo to sign the Child Safe Products Act. This Act would mandate disclosing ingredients in children’s products and ban bad acting chemicals such as formaldehyde, arsenic and asbestos.
